Burgewood is pleased to announce FMS Calculator and FMS Auditor for the new regulations are completed and ready for distribution to the current users of FMS Calculator. As pre our original plan we shall contact our customers in the coming weeks to transfer their driver’s names onto the new system. For those that have already used the FMS Comparitor, FMS Demo and FMS Trial – your feedback has been tremendous and has made the quality of the FMS suite of programs much better.

Questions

We have received many questions relating to the timing of the regulations in each of the states. Feedback has indicated some states are still working through when and how to introduce the new regulations, having said that, they all state they are committed to moving to the new regulations.

Work Diaries?

Current regulations preclude local drivers from having to use log books and it was anticipated that work diaries would not be required for local drivers under the new regulations. The attached “Local Area Information” document quotes

You will be required to carry and complete a work diary for all journeys, including local area and primary produce trips. The 100 km radius exemption for local drivers will no longer apply.

Other states have not (to our knowledge) announced anything similar.
